Under the orders of an evil sorcerer, the marauding Krugs have been destroying the countryside, as well as any villages they encounter. When they happen upon Stonebridge, they rampage the town, killing the son of a hardworking man, Farmer (Jason Statham), and kidnapping his wife, Solana (Claire Forlani). While Farmer begins a journey to rescue her, the King’s magus Merick (John Rhys-Davies) learns more about the Krugs. Merick’s old rival, Gallian (Ray Liotta), a power-hungry wizard, is leading the Krugs, hoping to overthrow King Konreid (Burt Reynolds) and substitute his own pawn, Duke Fallow (Matthew Lillard). Farmer’s quest takes him closer to Gallian, the only thing that stands in between him and Solana, and between freedom and captivity for the land.
